Last Night I saw a Concert at Carnegie Hall featuring young musicians from around the country in a string orchestra, lead by a world reknown Violist (yup, no typo here..a great violist!).. They played all Mozart selections (3 pieces). 1 piece featured a violin and a viola soloist. The violinst played a legendary Stradivarius. Amazing sound. The program actually printed the running time of each peice..nice.. Here is a list of what they played:
New York String Orchestra
Jaime Laredo, Conductor and Violist
Jennifer Koh, Violin
- MOZART Overture to The Impresario
- MOZART Sinfonia concertante in E-flat Major, K.364
- MOZART Symphony No. 36, "Linz"
