If ever there were a more fitting target than economists for the phrase "numbers never lie but liars use numbers," I've yet to see it.
Who are the liars, and what numbers are they using?
All of them, and whichever support their conclusions.
Trying to wade through economists arguments for and against the bailout has lead me to conclude that Economics is a branch of politics, not science.
